how many quarts in whole Trans system ?

i have 2003 MM ,with 4r70w , transmission . i was wondering how many quarts of Mercom V. are in the whole system??

About 12. You can always refer to the owners manual for basic questions.

Owner's manual says 13.9 qts, but gives this disclaimer:

"Indicates only approximate dry-fill capacity. Some applications may vary
based on cooler size and if equipped with an in-tank cooler. The amount
of transmission fluid and fluid level should be set by the indication on
the dipstick’s normal operating range."

when I do a full rebuild on models with a 12" torque converter the system takes 14 qts, on models with a 11.25" converter it takes 13 qts.
