In preperation for my Eaton swap in a few weeks, last night I installed:

Aeromotive 340 fuel pump
MuscleMerc 3" fuel filter and hoses
RacerX Upgraded FPDM

Getting P1235 and P0191
P1235 Fuel pump control out of range/FPDM
P0191 Fuel rail pressure sensor range/performance

Just looking for confirmation that these are logic codes as a result of greater that expected fuel pump performance and will can be resolved through tuning when I get my dyno tune done after install.

Car starts, runs and drives great right now.

and off topic, Frozenboost type 100 is mounted, intercooler pump mounted, reservoir mounted. Now with the fuel system preped my next step is to trunk mount and AGM battery and prep the wiring, after that it should be a quick 1 weekend project to swap the eaton in - exciting times.

you always get that upon first start after the pump install.
Did you clear the codes?

First it was just the p1235, which was not surprising after the first start. Cleared the code, restarted and drove to the gas station without any MILs. Filled up and started the engine and MIL was back. drove home then to the shop today, rechecked codes and got the p1235 and the p0191

Edit: I will clear it today before I leave, when I get home I will stop and top off the tank and see what happens.

Both codes may continue to return. Some cars are immune, others not.
Its a fuel table voltage adjustment that needs to be adjusted.

As I figured.

Not to concerned about the MIL for now, as long as it can be adjusted for by a competent tuner.

If you want it done in a weekend I highly suggest you continue on with prefab such as lengthening wires, building brackets, mounting the fuse box, stuff like that.

Eaton swaps are easy, but it's amazing the time spent on odds and ends.

I am pretty decent with a soldering iron for the wire extensions, and leaving the battery in place until the day of so cant remount the fuse box yet.

You have reminding me I need to mod my cobra throttle bracket.

What other brackets are there?

Honestly I am mostly concerned with PCV and vaccum hoses and routing - all the write ups do not cover them very well and I dont know if the OE marauder hoses will be enough to fit/mod to work properly.

For the most part I have leaned twords direct bolt in parts when optioned.

Eaton swaps take a long time, even for experienced installers

Couldn't tell you on the vacuum lines as I have an entire box of misc. tubing, adapters and such. I also have an entire drawer dedicated to wiring with damn near every color and gauge, and any terminal you could dream up as I hate running. :D

Update: Drove it 3 trips totaling 40 miles plus a stop at the gas station for a top off.

No more codes or MIL's at this time.

Yea I aquired a vacuum repair kit for the project with all sorts of misc fittings and tubes.

I plan to use this pump as well for a turbo build. My question though, is this pretty easy to install and is it quiet. I don't want to hear my fuel pump cruising down the road. Thanks

When I had the 340 stealth, BAP and modded FPDM, I had the GT40 fp tune loaded, which changes the startup tables and some other FP tests that get run. The table is supposed to change while the PCM learns, but, I think the other changes eliminate possible range errors.

Still running great without any MIL's

Hopefully the pdf ive attached will help if it even comes up, I used this for our eaton install, we basicly installed as designed, we had the vacumn harness and it fits fine, also the egr wiring is straight forward, our battery went to drivers side

the only thing is that the cobra passenger side pcv goes into the air tube and that is not good to put oil vapor into the blower, we were recommended to run it forward and put a breather on it

I thought this was about fuel?
Anyway, with the PCV system, you want to either put an oil catchcan on the PCV valve side (or both sides) OR install TWO breathers. Not one or you will have unmetered air entering possibly causing lean situations.
