hi all,
My trilogy is being disassembled for shipment today. The donor car has many other accessories I should consider. From reading the installation instructions it looks like the kit uses the OEM MAF and air inlet. Donor car has aftermarket MAF, headers and other performance items.
What would you recommend as priorities? Is the MAF a significant item? I would really like to see your recommendations in order of priority.
Thanks for any advice.

If you intend to hit the "safest" high numbers you'll need the MAF and depending on which MAF it is a MAFia extender as well. Also a CAI, preferably a JLT, better fuel pump, and at least a 3.2 pulley, 3.0 even better.
If you plan to only run low 400's you don't need anything additional.
So the big question, what did you pay?

Marty was letting me know the MAF I am getting is factory. He also recommended that to be changed out as priority. I'll put that on my list but the install won't be happening for a while yet. And I need to verify the kit is complete once I receive it. Hopefully within a fe days from Monday. He has the CAI you mention so I can get going on that.

Your Honor, I would like to remind the court of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 as well as the Misrepresentation Act 1967 and also that my client had never seen exhibit A of said "auto part".
Normally I would request a recess to look into this but it is quite elementary from the evidence brought fourth that there is indeed an 80MM to 90MM coupling between the "auto part" in question and the JLT CAI.
I would however like your permission to cross examine the plaintiff.
*You may proceed, but make sure this is going somewhere*
Thank you your Honor.
In regards to exhibit A, what is the date that picture was taken?
Best argument I haz? :dunno: :)
If it fits, you must acquits??

All I can say is I hope you packed your tooth brush when you came to Court today because it looks like you are going to be a guest of the government. :D

In light of recent news I beg the court for a mistrial :bows:
Fyi: I have a ported trilogy (by chris at white racing in warren Mi) and the stock maf is pegged with the stock 3.4 pulley. IMHO have the trilogy ported
Limited360 has convinced me to buy the proper maf vs using an extender.

Ok it's ovious he's not responsible enough to have the trillogy. So it must be donated at no cost to an adult who will sacrifice to give it a new home! Your honor!

This was said to be a proven, well running engine, yes? If so, I'd just get everything from it and put it on your car. Should be darn close if you don't start mix / matching parts before you even re assemble.
