Hello guys,
What do you guys think of this Valve body ? it has a J-mod done to it.
I want to buy it to install it in my 2003 MM because in my area there's no one can do this mod as I know.
So I need your advise guys should I buy it or not :)
Thank you.

I wouldn't trust it. I would highly recommend doing the JMOD yourself. If I can do it, you certainly can!

It requires a drill, a drill bit, and 3rd grade equivalent reading skills to do a Jmod.. If you can remove a valve body, you've already done half the job!

I wouldn't buy a used valve body to begin with.

Thanks for your supporting replay guys.
But I watched the official J-mod video and hell no I cant do that !!!
I don't know how you guys doing it without putting the gear DOWN.
It's really hard for me to do it :(
I guess it's a bad idea to buy a used one huh !!

Yes, don't buy used.
Just print out the jmod instructions, bring to a transmission shop that knows how to rebuild a Ford 4R70W.
Buy an aftermarket tans pan with a drain plug too and bring it with you.
Can't imagine them charging more than 100 to do it.

I can get you a separator plate and gaskets, modify it and send it to you. You'll need someone local to install it and do the rest of the j-mod.

I wouldn't trust an unknown eBay piece, but fastblackmerc I would trust all day long.

True but there are alot of "panther platform" vehicles in K.S.A.

He also has a po box in Delaware to send stuff to, so no worries of overseas shipping and customs.

Thanks everyone for the effort.
So if I got a j-mod plates what else remaining to do the job ?
The drilling is easy I guess but the rest of the job is difficult to do my self :(
I'll try to find a good trans mechanic and ask him if he can.
IIRC no need to drop the trans right ? just the valve body correct me if i'm wrong.
Thank you

Did you watch the video?

I watch it maybe ten times also I download it in my workplace to watch it in break time, but I don't know why it's too much for me to do it. The video explanation is so good and clear but I guess I need to practically see it better than watching it!

I am sure the KSA has a tranny dude around. From YouTube;

Personally, I dislike this video. Volume is inadequate, and he begins by thanking two people. Just two.
What about some thanks to Jerry Wroblewski?
Anyway, hope this helps, good luck!

Your still going to need someone to install it.....

Well Installing the Valve body is easier than doing the J-mod I think.
I try to find a good trans Mechanic first.

Wrong again. Easier to do than to remove and install..

If you won't attempt a j-mod, how are you going to do the Eaton swap?

What about a service manual? Does it cover valve body removal?
BeeDamn

At least the eaton swap is not as complicated as the Transmission in my opinion.
BTW I'm searching for one to do the swap :D but of course i'll try first.
Now I realized why ERIC THE CAR GUY said that the Transmission need a Technician not a mechanic :(

I don't really know, but if it does I'm getting one for sure.

Eaton swap is 30 times the amount of work than a Jmod. And there is no video.

If I can do it, then ANY competent mechanic should be able to either follow the J-mod instructions, or swap a valve body. There are no special tools needed.
