If the MM was owned by U.S. military person the license plate would be your clue.
U.S. Armed Forces have special license plates issued for civilian use.

Did not pay attention to plates . Either way car looks great against the boring German rides I saw that day.

Nice spotting, what are you doing in Germany and whereabouts are you travelling? I've also got a Marauder over here and I'm just a local not a service man.
The license plate isn't your clue anymore, U.S. Forces staff get issued regular German plates during their deployment nowadays to blend in with the locals.

I see in your signature that you have a dual fuel LPG MM  OH MY!
You probably have the only one that I've heard of.

It's the only way I can afford running this car over here, fuel at currently $5.75 vs LPG at $2.25 makes a massive difference!

That's cool, I come from a family of Audi enthusiats so naturally I know Ingolstadt very well despite living 300 miles away from it. I'm basically the black sheep in my family that has taken his liking to American cars too far and actually ended up getting one so whilst I still drive an Audi as my daily I very much enjoy having something that by German standards is just rediculous.

His dream is to work at the Audi plant. Audi is a nice machine . You need to be skilled working on them . Not many people around here even want to get involved working on them . They require special tools I've been told . Good luck on the new cruiser it will stand out and people will always stare at it . Happens to me all the time .

I certainly wouldn't touch the modern Audis but I can still do quite a few things on my 2003 A6 which is nice, wouldn't want to own anything newer than that. The reason they do that is to force people into the stealerships, my Dad has a 2010 A5 and you can't even change the bulbs with your own tools anymore. Yes my cruiser definitely stands out over here, the attention you get with it actually starts to become annoying. I get people ask me all the time if it was a former FBI car.

So make up a story to go with the car.

I very much enjoy having something that by German standards is just ridiculous.
What do you mean by this? Just curious what the "German standard" is?

i think its fun. When i drive behind cars they move out away immediately. When someone spots coming down the road they put on their seat-belts. Happens all the time. I know its a old man car but thats what i am .Wheeling cops stopped me to check out car. Where i live Palatine cops don't mind i have tinted windows. Buffalo Grove are cool cops . The Arlington heights cops gave me a tickets. He was testing out his new light meter( don't what they call it) i guess. Cook county sheriffs stopped me several times never said what for just want to see who's driving i guess. There just doing their job. I tough job theses day to be a police officer.

I have a black 03 Marauder and just bought a 07 town car for my wife with 74000 kml = 46,000 miles. install LPG for $3500 Canadian. propane gas goes for $0.44 cents a liter a full tank between $34 and $36 $$ Canadian. the acceleration and everything else feels the same. The marauder goes for $80 Ouch!

tobone, the German standard is something like a Volkswagen Golf, small, good on fuel and practical or a Passat as a family car so the Marauder is totally out of the box, many people think it's fun but you get a lot also just shaking their heads at it.
Doesn't work so well for me, when I drive behind cars they slow down to see what that thing in their mirror is. On the highway you get people driving up next to you and then just sit at your rear quarter taking a look and sometimes even whip their phones out for a picture. They just sit there for up to a few minutes and you then can't get out into the fast lane. I've always like old mans cars and I'm just 20, sad isn't it?
Franman so you run LPG in your Town Car and there is no difference in acceleration? I certainly notice the difference in the Marauder but then again I have an intelligent system that will revert back to petrol when you perform a kickdown to give you the full performance.

Friend of mine saw this one sitting in an Isuzu dealer yard in Munich Germany, no license plates and no price tag on it so I assume someone just imported it, has 113k miles on it.

There are 6 in Germany that I know of now, 4 Blacks, 1 Silver and 1 Blue. One of the Blacks was wrapped around a tree last year, it was then sold to a body shop in the Czech Republic which rebuild the car using Crown Vic components and exported it to Armenia.
In Europe I know of at least 4 others, 3 Blacks in Finland, England and Austria as well as 1 Silver in Spain which according to the owner was an original Florida Highway Patrol Unit. I believe there is at least 1 in the Netherlands and Sweden also but haven't seen pictures of those yet.
