I'd try to get yours balanced and heavy duty u-joints installed. I know your in Germany but unless you travel over 120MPH for long periods you should be OK.

 The Marauder's driveshaft is made out of aluminum. You need a driveshaft made out of a material other than aluminum or a composite material. :shake:

Are you serious? The 1800 h.p. marauder has a 4" aluminum driveshaft.Purple also has the same.Never had a problem.

And the member above your post makes more hp..this is not your typical forum like mustang forums can be..The long term members have 8-10 years here and of course we brag about our cars, but we don't do it with a chip on our shoulder. You are new and these cars are not...there are very few aftermarket parts anymore for these cars and mustang stuff doesn't fit. Mustangs with a lot of HP and 3500 lbs..dime a dozen, a 4250 lb car with a much longer driveshaft and much longer exhaust and full frame with lots of HP..big difference. I'll keep my 455rwhp Marauder over a 700 Hp mustang any day.

don't waste your money. spend it on something else. I have never had any issues with my stock drive-shaft - maybe I'm lucky

No, not the driveshaft place you mentioned, the comment about your high horsepower mustang with aluminum driveshaft and the hard launches comment sort of seemed (to me) a little shoulder chippy, My apologies. These cars have an aluminum driveshaft and as noted, are plenty strong for even high horsepower. We know you are a Ford tech and have built a few toys. All I am saying is you have quite a bit to learn about these cars and how unique they are. Wait until you go to your dealer's parts dept and want to order a part for it, only to find it is discontinued, obsolete.

Good job on rescuing a Marauder:beer:

It's never been a question of the strength of an OEM drive shaft....it's the harmonic distortion that can cause them to wobble at sustained high speeds (120+ MPH with 3.55 gears....lower with 4.10's)!! This "harmonic wobble" can destroy the transmission tail shaft and bushing!!:shake:

If you plan on driving at ultra high speeds you at least need to have it balanced or go to a metal matrix or composite shaft......I have never been over 120 MPH in 11 years but bought a metal matrix shaft anyway to be safe!! A complete waste of money for me!!:argue:

Good Luck and BE CAREFUL!!

I have been many times as I race the car - no vibrations - again some folks have felt it - I haven't.

I'm sure that's a good shop.. But the freight charge to Germany..Yikes!.. I bet there are good drive line shops in Germany. Especially with all the high speed cars around.. may be get your drive shaft reworked for high rpm?

its cheaper to find a driveshaft online then to get mine worked on in Germany, and as far as wasting money im leaning towards a new DS only because 120 mph+ is the average speed here ...I have gone 130mph for a constant 30 min so I want to be safe

I would install a tranny cooler if you have not done so with those constant speeds!

(off topic) But man do I miss being stationed in Germany 1985-1989 and remember what it was like when I first got there seeing cars zooming down the autobahn flashing their headlights for you to get out the way while rolling at top speed and how amazed I was especially coming from the "Drive 55, arrive alive", "Do double nickels" speed limit culture in the USA at the time.
Not to mention Mercedes-Benzes being used as taxis

@TP derrick yeah nothing has changed the taxis are still E class Mercedes and every time I go back home to the states and drive on the highway it really pisses me off how everyone drives compared to here hahaha

I think he was just using the 700hp mustang as a testament to the fact that its totally fine to use an aluminium driveshaft, contrary to what the poster above him said... I didnt see any shoulder chips :o
