I've been meaning to post this; did the actual repair last fall.
Front end whine or whirr had been evident since the Aug 11th flood (water level was at the door sills). Every pulley/bearing I took off had a dry/rough sound and feel to it, but the ultimate noise culprit was the A/C compressor clutch pulley bearing.

Notes:
- Advance Auto took the old alternator core without any mention of the fancy Bosch pulley.
- The field coil snap ring made me want to throw tools :mad2:
