Looks nice !!!
I am by no means a mechanic, but is that one heck of a sway bar I am looking at below it?

Nice but I'd have installed one with bearing cap support.....
Looks like an Addco sway bar.

It is An Addco sway bar. Put it on when I first got the car in 2003.

I have the same cover and was told the addco sway bar will hit it. Even my stock sway rubs up against it. Any issues?

The drain plug will come in handy. I suck out the old lube by sticking a tube in the fill hole.

I see that there is a lot of room. Have not had it on the ground yet. But when I put it on it did not look like it was going to rub on the say bar. Know more tomorrow.

What sort of gasket did you use? I have heard the silicone one for the 8.8 works well but not sure if it's worth the expense.

I used just black RTV. That is what was on it. The cover has a small grove in it to let it make a good seal. I let it set over night before I put oil in it.
It fits fine on issues with the sway bar rubbing.
