Last night I got in my car to come home and it was running incredibly rough all of a sudden (spewing some vile exhaust). About a mile down the road power steering went out along with the airbags, traction control, and ABS, when I came to a stop light the gauge lights, radio, and ac went out. Headlights were still working great. Almost as soon as everything started going out everything came back on and there is zero trace that anything was wrong in the first place. No codes, the battery light did come on during the kerfuffle but went out as soon as everything was restored. Does anyone have any clue what might be going on?

This week has not been kind to my Marauder. :(

ive had a similar issue before with my marauder check your battery.. run a battery test/ alt test, if both check out check and make sure your terminals are both tight and check all grounds

mine was a loose ground wire

also wouldnt hurt to run a extra ground from alternator casing to frame

also redoing the grounds with some bigger guage would be a plus too ... a big 3 upgrade i awesome stuff

I'm not really sure how to do the last two but I'll definitely makes sure the battery is in tip top shape and clean it.

Definitely sounds like your battery is about to give up the ghost.

The OEM battery from the Ford dealer really is the best value.. believe it or not..

I had a similar issue, rebuilt the alternator and re-charged the battery, it's been great since then. :)

Mine was a loose grounding bolt on the passenger side fender. Driver side fender has one also.

Took her in for a battery test today and cleaned off corrosion from the positive terminal. measured 621 CCA, battery is rated for 700 CCA (that seems a bit small but I'm no battery expert), 12.8v @ 99 degrees F.

you might of just had a dirty connection on the cable, 99% of the time when things like his happen its a dirty/bad ground coming from the battery, if you cleaned the connections you should be all set.

Yeah, it was caked on there big time. I'm actually kind of ashamed I let it get that bad.

You might take a look at Odyssey Batteries (http://www.odysseybattery.com/). I've had one in my MM for the past couple fo years. They are promoted for police duty, which is fairly harsh. I learned about them from a police vehicle equipment magazine.
