For the past 5 months I've been having this problem with my marauder cranking but not starting. It'll start, I'll drive it for a day or two. Park it in the garage, go out the next morning to go somewhere and it does it. I've replaced the battery, the IAC, the PCM and the fuel rail pressure sensor and it's still doing it. I need some help....... Any suggestions?

Do you have a scan tool?
Is the car stock?
I would check and verify fuel pressure under this condition. If fuel pressure is good, I would next look at the crankshaft position sensor. If you have a scan tool that can view actual values you should be able to view if it is registering engine rpm. If you don't and can't do that trial fit one, but it isn't that easy to get to.
If the crank sensor is bad it may not always throw a code.

Thanks for the info and yes, my car is stock. I do not have a scan tool, sounds like I need to invest in one...

It could save you tons of money down the road. I would check out Launch products on ebay. They are china products but stole licensing software from Snap-On so you get the same software as if you have a snap-on scan tool. Look at the CRP123 or X431. For under $150 you can get a scan tool that will let you into all the systems on multiple vehicles and read data streams as well as clear codes.

I should say, if a crank sensor is bad it will not always throw a code. I have replaced many where no code is thrown yet it wasn't registering engine rotation. The condition he is experiencing I have seen that not throw any codes. In my experience codes are usually thrown when the crank sensor malfunctions when the engine is running.

Try checking the start switch at the bottom of the steering column.
They have been known to confound even the experts with their intermittent hang-ups.
They're the same parts on most recent FoMoCo vehicles with steering column key-start switches.

So it does not start? What does it take to get it started? Do you just leave and come back another day? or just keep trying to crank it?

Try a new starter relay in the power distribution box behind the battery.

Clean all the battery connections.

Check for chafed wires in the harness behind the drivers side cam cover and the left front harness by the air compressor.

Ever change the fuel filter?

Does the fuel pump prime when you turn the key? You should hear it kick on before you crank the motor. This happened to me once and I unplugged the fuel pump module in the trunk, cranked the motor, threw a code, and then plugged it back in, and went back and cranked it, and it fired right up. Haven't had the problem since.
