I'm replacing the gas tank after replacing the seal twice and even a new fuel pump housing unit still can't figure out the leak.

In the picture does this vent/valve supposed to be enclosed or open. I'm wondering if I'm missing a plug?

That is a vapor line. Yes it should have a hose attached.

There's no hose anywhere on the stock tank or tank I purchased. Where does the vapor line connect to.

It is possible I am wrong, since I haven't dropped a tank in years.
However, Based on the outlet being clean on the end, I'd say a hose goes on there.
It would be tucked up in the frame, attached to the car.

If I remember correctly, that seals itself when no vacuum is applied.

At what fuel level does the tank leak? Are you sure it isn't the filler neck seal?

I agree.... the hose barbs are too clean.

It leaks at 3/4 full. What's a filler neck seal. Where is this hose

I'm going to plug it there's already a vent valve going there

Go to a Ford dealer and ask to see an exploded view of the assembly. Probably find it at Tasca as well.

Filler neck seal is where the filler neck enters the tank.

Yes that's what I'm looking at mine looks in good condition but I need to know if a hose is attached to it and where it goes. It has two valves one the bigger has a hose but the smaller valve had nothing attached. I need to know its supposed to be like that way or not. The mystery must be solved.

I'm looking at diagrams and all the ones I've seen show only one hose. But I just saw a YouTube video of a Ford Taurus gas tank and fuel pump change and it had both valves attaches with hoses. The smaller valve had a hose but didn't connect to anything it was just for vapor

There was definitely a hose attached to it.

The hose would be ON THE CAR.
I bet your filler neck seal is leaking. Common.

Replaced tank but still leaking. I'm going to try that valve now and maybe the filler neck. Hopefully that will fix the problem. I looked underneath car this morning and again it's leaking from the same place, from the front side. That leads me to believe it has to be the pump gasket or the metal piece that hold the gasket in place might be warped. But I have used three different new gaskets, two tanks and two different fuel pump housing units.
