View Full Version : Husky liner poll

I do not know that we can get these liners but I thought I would get a rough count before I tried to find anyone who might be able to get this done at Husky.

A friend of mine had a one-off set made for him in the fall, so maybe the molds are still on the junk shelf.

I am guessing they will be around $150 per set.

An example of poor spelling. It should be "Poll"

Husky Liner - aka: floor mat

There are two premium domestic custom fit floor liner manufacturers that I know of, Husky and Weather Tech.

A floor liner is like a floor mat with no carpet, but it has lips around the edge so the slop stays contained in the liner in most cases.

I would prefer Dk. Charcoal to Black but it's not a deal breaker.

I'd have to see the finished product before I hand over $.

If they are as nice as WeatherTech I'd get them seeing as the idiots at WeatherTech don't think there is enough Panther vehicles on the road to make it worth their while to produce them... Idiots.

Here is what they used to look like or similar:

http://www.truckchamp.com/husky/make/mercury/model/grand-marquis/year/2003/series/classic-style-floor-liners/category/floor-mats-%252d-floor-liners

Rear liner goes over the hump:

http://www.truckchamp.com/husky/make/mercury/model/grand-marquis/year/2003/series/floor%2C-cargo-and-truck-liners/category/floor-mats-%252d-floor-liners

The way I understand it, Husky used to make them in black, Grey and Tan.

The part numbers used to be:

Front Liners / 2nd Seat Liner
33101 / 63101 – black color liners
33102 /63102 – grey color liners
33103 / 63103 – tan color liners

I scored a rear floor liner in black. Apparently a last on the shelf from Amazon. Its been shipped. Once it arrives, I'll take a photo to share with the group.

Husky Liner Poll? I thought it was a stripper pole sprayed with bed liner. Not sure how that would work.

Received the rear passenger liners. They are not like the picture on the box. The box would make you think the center trans hump is also covered. No, its just the two foot floor pans. The black does blend in better with the dark charcoal. I would think a grey color would be too light.

The black cross bar design is awesome, and the black color is a lighter shade of black (sounds stupid but true), and should be perfect.

Says poll is closed so I can't add. I am in for two (2) full sets.

Trick to these (I've always had sets of these in my cars)...

When you get these NIB, you have set them out in the sun to warm them up... And you take different sized books, and set them inside leaning up along the edges, gently pushing them outward... This way when you install them, the edges push outward and protect the carpet edge.

Otherwise, they curl in...

I do this once a year in the spring.

Sorry to say that after a few weeks a manager at Husky confirmed that the molds are indeed scrapped. But on the bright side the metal has been reformed to make liners for the new KIA.

There are other companies that make floor liners (Lund, Michelin, Rugged Ridge, etc., forget Weathertech). I wonder if we had a solid order of a decent minimum order, maybe someone would be willing to make some for our cars again. Besides Husky could have done a better job on the rear ones and even covered the transmission hump.

If they fit a GM or CV they will fit an MM since the floor pan is the same.

Interesting enough, Weathertech makes a floor liner for the Town Car. Other than the over the front hump part, the driver side floor liner does look different. Too bad. Otherwise, would be nice if Weather Tech just did the minor modification of removing the over the hump part then it wouldn't be as hard for them to offer this for CV/GM/Marauders

I rolled the dice for $150, not a lot of money. Of course, I'm not an 11th generation owner either
