Was looking at the Moog parts but there are several different part numbers, anyone know which part numbers are needed to replace the front and rear ones on the driveshaft? Different brand part numbers are fine as well.

Thanks

Its either

MOOG 254 or 231, i would grab two of each and return the one that does not fit.

M-4635-A is what Ford Racing lists for theirs and it's $40 each. Not even sure it would work on the MM but can get two Moog units with tax for the price of one Ford Racing piece.

Take it to a driveshaft shop, have it balanced, pay the $150, have a nice day.

I found this thread, a local driveshaft shop stocks them. Have to drop my driveshaft off someday.

That's what I thought about doing, problem is getting the DS out, have to drop the front part of the exhaust and crap. I think my best bet would be to get my stock one balanced and new joints put on, swap that in cause currently I have a MMC DS on the car and then I won't have to leave it sitting at a shop, easy swap.

It's only 4 bolts and 10 minutes to remove the drive shaft. Shouldn't need to remove any exhaust parts to remove and replace a drive shaft on your car.

I'm just going off from what the Ford mech (who is also a member here) that did my jmod and tailshaft seal that the exhaust would need to be dropped or at least unbolted if the DS were to come out again. It was originally welded as one whole piece from manifolds to tips then I had some v-band clamps installed right after the H-pipe crossover.

There isn't much clearance room between the DS and the exhaust.

It'll fit. Mine is tight but still rotates out.

See, shaft out.

The repair shop next to my work offered to take it out and send it to a local DS shop which actually inspected the MMC after I bought it.

My exhaust is similar, you need about 3 inches of drop at the rear differential once it's unbolted, to clear the pumpkin then just pull it straight back and out. You could put your stock shaft back in while the other one gets new joints. You could also let the RAS get low, turn off pump, put jack stands on axle to get less of an angle. (I'd hate to have to pull exhaust apart too)

Let us know how it goes
