Hello Everyone in Marauderville:
I had my engine rebuilt in 2013 by the former long time mechanics who fixed my parents' cars and mine for many years. Long story short, the rebuilt engine due to machine shop problems had a knock and now the knock is louder and after several opinions, it sounds like it could be a rocker arm or lifter or a combination of sorts. The mechanics at Los Angeles based Dong A Auto went out of business and sold the property. No chance for them to fix the issue...I would rather replace the engine eventually instead of paying to open it up, inspect, and attempt to "fix" what was screwed up. It's started as a ticking sound but now it's knocking loud.
I need to know, what engine brand could I use? I've heard of Jaspar, Aviator, a few others but I'm tired of the car nickel and diming me to death.
I'm getting a new car but want to keep the Marauder because I still think it's a great car that Ford could have improved and succeeded in selling but one will never really know with only 2 years in production. Thanks!
