FRP 03-04 Cobra pinion flange: M-4851-B

Im talking with a shop thats going to do my rear dif and gears. I sent them the parts list which i copied from the sticky thread. The installer only asked about this part. He mentioned that he wasnt sure i need it and if it works with the drive shaft in our cars. I dont have the ford technical knowledge so any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks, bob

That same flange is installed on all Marauders from the factory.

I put it on the list because mine had a groove from the pinion seal and I didn't want my pinion leaking
