Rear rims are getting widened and I thought I was a good time to blend in curb rash as well as polish the rims. One shop quoted me $1400 to mirror finish polish the rims. Another shop had a much cheaper alternative $600 to machine finish rims. I'm not really familiar with these terms and processes. I want the rims to shine they are dull. But I don't want to paint them I want the aluminum shine look not painted silver. Mirror finish is too expensive what should I be looking for?

The wheels are already anodized so I'd just claybar them and use a good quality automotive polish. Treat the wheels just like you'd treat the paint on the car.

If you have a full sized spare, theres your answer. The rims on the vehicle are polished aluminium while the full-sized spare, if equipped, is just machined.

Yes I have a spare and don't like the look. What is pvd chrome? Will they blend in curb rash. How long is the turn over time.
