EDIT:

Please see post #23 for meeting time and location!

Every year in my city we have a third of july parade. That means floats, music, belly dancers ;) and of course cars. Usually plenty of mustangs in the mix. ANYWAYS for the longest time I have dreamed of having a Marauder of each Color (or more!) In the parade! How bad azz would that be!? we have black and DTR covered (not 100% sure on the DTR, the more the merrier anyways!) That leaves silver birch and dbp. lifespeed, gdsqdcr? what do you guys think!? :p its family friendly and would be fun. Theres an announcer at the end that would also give us a shoutout of our choosing. Theres a small registration fee and it must be made in advance! Please let me know who would be interested I think it would be a lot of fun :)

POST UP the date and time etc... Might work for me too!

July 3rd looks like a Friday though--before a major holiday--so the traffic will be fierce.

Would be fun for us to get together.

Regarding traffic, good point. Perhaps the weekend before somewhere.

Well here it is. The Parade would start promptly at 6:30, Rehearsal at 5:30. We would be registering as a car club, I will personally cover the fee, and attend the informational meetings as well as relay any useful information. We would be representing Mercurymarauder.net. I would need a headcount before June 22nd. I dont think traffic would be that bad in the evening, enough to make it not worth your time anyways. although that is up to your judgement. It helps that I live here in town :P but its something that I have wanted to do for years now!
To help put it into perspective(and possibly further persuade you) here is the breakdown of drive times(this is as of 4 pm, april 17th, a Friday, pulled from google maps):
Pleasanton to Benicia -with traffic: 1 hour, without: 37 minutes
Livermore to Benicia - with traffic: 1 hour, without: 40 minutes
Pleasant Hill to Benicia - 15 minutes

1Marauder and Redster would have the longest drives it seems, 1 hour from sacramento and a hour and a half from Riverbank ca. Anyways, we have time so please consider it and let me know. Like I said I will be more than happy to cover all registration costs :)

Hey guys, figured I would bump this as I am going to be making the registration and payment tomorrow. As of right now I think I have 4 people committed to coming. Furthermore, I would like to add some additional information so as to possibly entice others still on the fence :P For those that arent aware, I am going to be making a feature length Mercury Marauder Documentary. The main footage will come from Marauderville later this year, but I am planning to get started by capturing some footage at the parade. If you ARE attending Marauderville, it would be greatly helpful if you could attend. And if THAT didnt convince you then no worries, you have up until June 20th to decide although sooner would be better than later. Please, if you are coming, PM me or post up in the thread :)
