After waiting nearly two weeks for them to ship to save 40 bucks I received miss-match calipers. Great.....

Anyone else run into this? Not sure what to do. :depress: If I send it back I might get another one with corvette on it again. ha!

I got mine the same way. Just file, grind or sand off the corvette. Not hard to do. I used my 90 degree and some fine pads took about two minutes. Then sand them even a little more. Work's great.

Advance auto with the codes you can find I saved $50 off the total cost. I think it was 170 with free shipping. was the best deal i could find.

yeah I think I'm gonna go this route. I'm just concerned if something is wrong with them might be SOL if I "mod" them. but it should be the easiest solution. Thanks guys.

Dremel will dig in, you'll never get them smooth.
File or 2" grinding wheel at the least.
Or just order some corvette fender badges :P

The same exact thing happened to me as well, one new smooth faced and one re-manufactured and beat up Corvette caliper. Mine were Rock Auto A-1 Cardones. I used a die grinder and made the Corvette go away, then silver caliper paint.

*Bonus issue I had was that the hydraulic hose connection threads were striped on that Corvette one. Unfortunately after all of the work to mount everything, I then discovered when tightening the banjo. Took another week to get a replacement. Luckily the replacement is another new, smooth faced unit.

I had the same deal from Rock Auto / Cardone. Driver's side has the Corvette print. Painted red as is for now-really wanted to see if it all worked first. Now I may leave it just to psych people out!
Next time I'm doing brakes I will grind it off.
