Will this work on an MM? Is there a diagram on what this bolts up to?

I think it's too late for my 13 year old ride.....

I put a new blower in it and the air flow still is not that great. I cleaned the evaporator. I think it's a Ford thing. My Town Car sucked too.

My Mazda freezes me to death in about 60 seconds and blows at 400 mph.

I would not get one. My 2 other cars have the filters. All they do is cause problems and the air is no better. They are a medium for mold and mildew.

I change them regularly and they cause more problems than they solve.

I have airborne allergies and am very sensitive to air quality, if the air were better with the filters I would know it.

Looks like it fits in or under the passenger side cowl.

I think if the filter element is changed often enough, there is minimal risk of growing fungus, mold, penicillin, whatever, but $115 for the hardware and $21 each for filters is a bit steep and I bet most people won't bother, especially if it involves any disassembly.

Too bad Ford didn't put 15 or 20 seconds of thought into this and add an easily replaceable filter like the one in my 1999 Taurus...

I installed a vacuum hepa filter in Bawazirs car four years ago and it worked wonders for the oil smell he was getting.

I like it . Always wondered way there was no cabin air filter. Our Lincoln LS has one and I like it. I have 96 F250, 2000 LS, 2 MM's all four blow a lot of air from the vents and A/C's are ice cold. I don't think filter will hurt cooling in my stuff

Mr. Man - Will this work on an MM?
As long as you got the one for the 2003+ Crown Victoria - Yes. HINT: The 2003-2004 Marauder has the same body shell (and cowl) as that period's Crown Victoria (or Grand Marquis).

Is there a diagram on what this bolts up to?
Here's a pic' from LONG ago that I pack-ratted of the prototype ...
http://www.gdmjoe.com/gothvic/interior/cabinairfilter-prototype06.jpgAs fastblackmerc noted ... it fits in or under the passenger side cowl.

Activated charcoal or go home.

filters without activated charcoal are just there to stop pine cones and squirrels from damaging the evaporator core.

Ones with activated charcoal will actually reduce outside odors from being noticed in the car.

"Comes with a replaceable filter element that filters large dust particles, hair, and unwanted filth that can cause your evaporator core to clog and restrict air flow."

WHY WOULD THERE BE HAIR????

I also like it. Will this help when you are idling behind a diesel truck or a classic car in traffic jam and you can smell the exhuast from inside your car?

The supplied filter does not appear to be activated charcoal, so I would say no....
