Blown Engine

I just bought my first Marauder, a 2004 black on black. The car is beautiful, I purchased it with a blown engine. I am a certified ASE Master Tech, so I wasn't afraid to take on the challenge. My question is with these cars only made 2 years finding an exact replacement is difficult without breaking the bank. Does anyone know if any Vin V engine could be made to drop in? And would there be any performance loose as a result?

There are multiple threads about what engines will fit. Google is your friend.

Hole in block? Knocking? Etc....

Had a bad knock and then at idle it threw a rod and put a hole in the oil pan.

get a new set of rods and pistons, bore the block over and have it balanced. throw it back together.

3k and your done.

With a 5.4L in a Marauder how do you plan on closing the hood:confused:

I'm currently pulling it out and doing a tear down to assess the damage. I was just trying to get an idea of other options if needed.
