Took the car to Dez today to look at the datalog of the 3 runs last weekend. If I had any idea of how to use a computer I could save a 7 hr. round trip. The car was breaking up at 6500rpm and we were hiting the rev limiter at shift from 1 st to 2 nd and at 9.3 sec into the run.Put new plugs in it and did pull on dyno to 7400 rpm and picked up 18 rwhp. Will change rear end gears from 4:86 4:7something.this should give me a extra 2-300 rpm at top end. This is starting to feel like work.

Which is why my car sits in my personal museum.
I was very proud of what we did with it but the fun was going out of it for me. My wife keeps reminding me of that and she is the smarter lawyer among the two of us. She reminds me of that all the time too.

If I remember correctly Marty started life as a Yankee.
I would be cool to see these two cars compete at the Northern Heavyweight Shootout though.

Having to lift off the gas just past the 1000 ft. so we do not hit the rev limiter,we still did a best of 9.466 @ 136.16.The 60 ft. was 1.379 and the 1/8 mi. 6.025 @ 117.84.

Yes.The 4.71 pro gears will be in tuesday .We will change them out and test next week. What we did today was shift with the tach.We put a 7400 chip in the shift light and when it just started to light we got off the gas.

What is incredible is your ET vs MPH. If you get your shift schedule squared away. You will no doubt knock off another tenth or so.

Changed the gears from 4.86 to 4.71 and everything worked as planned.Shifting at 6600 we crossed the finish line at just under 7500 rpm without hitting the rev limiter. The temp. was 85 and humid and we ran a 9.61 and 9.65 .We also won1 st round. It was a good day.
