View Full Version : gas pedal that sticks

Found a broken engine mount on the driver side the other day. Thinking that may be the cause of the gas pedal that is sticking on take off.

I remember mentioning it sometime back, thought you guys might want to know.

Also that teflon roller sleeve thing the transmission linkage goes through is damaged and needs replacing. All that under there is real loose.

I guess I'm gonna remove the engine and transmission and clean everything up to get a better idea of what all needs to be replaced.

I bet a new motor mount will fix it. I'd replace the other motor mount and tranny mount to be safe.

I've been told these mounts can be found in any parts store, is this true or am i gonna have to order from DB or Macs or something like that???

this is what it should look like clean....had same problem. Cleaning it from outside will not repair problem. Removing the throttle body will.

NAPA may be able to get them. I think you will have to order them no matter where you get them.
