I have been wanting to do a dyno run for the Marauder. There is a local performance shop that is offering a special of 2 runs for $50. Would it make sense to do a couple of dyno runs to get a "baseline" rwhp and tq as well as AF ratio? I have NOT invested in a tuner yet. I know I should probably get one.

Why not? It's only $50.00...............

maybe you should get a tuner from Martyo with a tune then do a dyno run stock then install the tune and see the difference. I guarantee you will feel the difference when you drive it.

great opportunity to see the results.
Either way, I'd get the baseline numbers and data for fitty bucks!
IIRC these promotional dyno runs do not include an AF ratio measurement. Maybe you could pay the extra cost for the AF probe.
Marty could tell us.

Yeah, I was planning on getting a tuner from Martyo with a tune. But, the car already has some sort of tune in it (I think, since the speedo is correct with the gears in the car and it lays a serious patch when shifting 1st to second). Would that mean that there is a tune of some kind??

with your mods, it for sure has a tune. over writing with a new tune might cause issues, if current tune has anything disabled - talk to Marty. He'll fix you up.
Still get a baseline dyno, and yes, pay for air/fuel reading if it is not included

Some shops do, some don't offer AF. We generally do just because.
The reason some don't is because then they don't have to hook up the probe plus they don't use the 02 sensor which is considered a consumable (because they do wear out).

More than likely.

So, will it be hard to re-program the computer if I have no idea what kind of tune is in it to begin with?

No, not at all.

Ok. I think I will set up a dyno run and see what happens. Also, a new guy at work has a 2010 Camaro SS and wants to cruise over to the Friday night Test & Tune at the local 1/8 mile track and put up a run. I'm sure he'll beat me but what the heck! Also, he wants to bring his dad and his 05 stock Mustang GT. I should be able to have fun with that too.! I'll try to work all this in this month lol:beer:

I called the shop and got no answer! :( However, it turns out that the guy I work with is friends with the shop owner! So, it looks like I'll be getting a dyno run in soon. I'll post up the info.
Meanwhile, in a separate thread in the Drag Racing section, I posted up the runs with the Camaro and Mustang. I'll get the video's up soon!
