So it just hit me. Do I even need the Cobra intercooler coolant reservoir when Im going to use a Frozenboost type 100 heat exchanger? It has a pressurized radiator cap and overflow port on it already so cant I just run a 1/4" line to an overflow/expansion bottle instead? Will save on hoses running all over the place and to be honest, I never really liked the location where everyone mounts it. Seems out of place.

There has to be a tank to recirculate the coolant , and for the intercooler pump to draw from.

Why can't I just run a line from intercooler to pump, pump to heat exchanger, then heat exchanger back to intercooler? The pump would draw from the heat exchanger.

It would work.
Monitor your IAT's though

How would you monitor the coolant level? how would you fill the system with coolant?

Monitor fluid level inside of an overflow bottle connected to the heat exchanger vent port via 1/4" hose. Fill the system thru the radiator cap that's mounted on top of the heat exchanger.

Why not just install the reservoir if your going to being putting in an overflow bottle?

Yeah it can be done , but i think your flirting with disaster , and it doesn't make sense to eliminate the reservoir , if you don't like the little mustang tank , get the bigger town car tank , and mod it with a return line.

Additional fluid equals lower temps.
