Got a new Raybestos professional grade OEM replacement driver side installed. Driver side moog endlink was loose and messed up. passenger was fine so I left it and just ordered one from Rockauto and used the MM.net discount code too...

I think I paid $37 for one piece. Unit has heavy duty blue plastic boots and band retainers. Also is greaseable like moog ( comes greased ) and has 2 zirk heads included, as well as two black anodized mounting nuts.

Didnt look at service manual lol. Jackstand both sides front. Remove caliper and rotor, I use a third jackstand to put the caliper on - prybar WD-40 and some big ass vice grips to clamp the swaybar next to endlink mounting spot. Lower bolt is a ***** as threads are self locking so get it tight - then tighten nut on or it spins - is there a better way?

Did top nut first then did lower. Took me 1 hour or so to do it and clean and put it all back together. Good and tight and fully seated. So far so good much better - I'd recommend these as good quality.

Post up if you get new stuff installed..

Thanks for the write-up.

I've always been partial to Raybestos stuff and it's good to know they are still quality.

It doesn't have a 17mm wrench hold back on the stud?

Hmm, not sure - my god it should though yes? I didn't look at it and didn't want to remove the boots to get at it. But that's where it should be I guess. Suspension stuff I've never really messed with, did do rear shocks and rear poly bushings but that's easy.

Whats the deal? does factory have a hold back?

Factory I believe did, Moog yes, and I just looked at your first pic and see the Raybestos uses the very end as the hold back. 8mm?

I will do it correctly on the passenger side, when I put new front rotors on soon. Post a pic if you have one, basically a wrench hold, under the edge of the boot?
