i am going to upgrade to header,s for my MM. i am going to need O,2 sensor extensions , i was wondering are they a 2 wire or a 3 wire style to our O,2 sensor,s - i have a 2003 MM. or is there any thing else i should know about , what u need for O,2 Sensor extensions , is there a better brand then other,s or any thing else , you can let me know....

when u thread in an O,2 Sensor , into the header , Do you use an O,2 sensor safe compound on the treads , what is the name of the compound , it,s is safe for O,2 sensors ,and must be able to take the heat.. does the compound make a seal on the thread,s or help in later down the road , to be able to unscrew an O,2 Sensor , if u need to take it out and Un-thread it from the header,, or do u screw O,2 sensors dry on the thread,s!?!

First, take a look at the existing sensors to see how many wires.

Second, use anti seize on the threads ONLY, don't get any on the sensor portion.

I did not need extensions with my SW headers. They ended up fitting fine.

+1 didn't need to use them on my SW kit either - factory was long enough.

If you purchase the SW Kit (and you should) it comes with the correct extensions.

You generally need a tune with headers. Long tubes especially or the car will run poorly
