How hard will it be to remove the lower intake from my MM that has 86k miles on it? Just wondering, I see an Eaton Swap in the future. That part of the job seems like it might be difficult wrestling the intake off without breaking something.

Super easy. Remove the alternator and COT. Disconnect the fuel supply line, fuel injector connectors, FRPS connector, and FRPS vacuum line. Remove the 10 bolts and lift out.
Prob the easiest part of the Eaton swap.

So, it's not like stuck in there with the old gasket material cemented to the heads?
Years ago I had a problem removing a stock intake from a car with more miles but what a PITA. Makes me cringe when I think of having to remove an intake ever since!

It has a rubber/plastic type gasket. Mine came off pretty easy even after 150k miles on the motor but man it was dirty and oil coated. Also found a mouse nest and a socket in the valley.

Cool. So, it comes up with some muscle. No prying necessary?

No prying and not much muscle as long as you have disconnected everything and got all the bolts out. lol

Make sure to cover the intake ports on the heads before cleaning anything after you have taken the lower intake off, don't need to crap to get into the heads.
