If anybody has Zack or MuscleMerc rear cooling mod fittings laying around I will buy them!
This is what I found when I got my lower intake off.... :banghead: courtesy of West Bend Dyno (aka The Butcher Shop).

Thanks Marty. I sent him a PM... but it looks odd, he edited that thread a couple weeks ago and deleted the entire first post...

PM Zack, he might have just the fitting you need, rather than an entire kit....

I wasn't aware they made one that will fit with a S/C... this for sure works with a Trilogy?
I'll make you one, just give me a few business days to do it.
But....if the hack job you have now isn't leaking, why change it?

Thank you Zack. Well the hack job just doesn't look like it will hold up. It looks like the brass fitting is barely in that... weld/epoxy something or another mess they have there. I don't trust it. Also I did suspect there to be a small leak somewhere because I could never seem to get all of the air out after 6+ times burping from the COT. The top of the block was wet (but no puddles) when I got the lower intake off. I think it might be the connection behind the water pump though. But anyway, whenever you are ready just let me know payment details. No rush, thanks again.

If its leakign in the valley, the top of your block will not be wet, it will drain out the back of the intake and will run down between the oil pan and the trans bellhousing. If a COT is leaking it will run down the side of the intake along with going into the valley under the intake....

...but the valley is the top of the block. I'm going to put new O-rings in the COTs as well though so I should be covered.

Yea it is
Just wanted to know more about the location of the puddle of coolant...
You had mentioned the water pump connection in the valley, but if that is leaking you wouldn't be able to visually see any "wetness" looking down at the motor
Advance auto parts has a pressure tester for rent that has the appropriate adapter.

Ahhhhh gotcha. Well there is no puddle under the car or in the valley, but when I removed the lower intake the valley was all wet. Could be condensation :dunno: or a leak, but as I said I burped the system probably over a dozen times, once every morning for over a week, and there remained air in the COT. I thought maybe a very small leak at the back of the water pump or at either of the COT O-rings could cause this.

You will most likely have to pressurize the system manually with the intake removed.
If you really think its that small of a leak, put shop rags around each joint and leave it pressurized for a while, if you come back and any of them are wet, then there you go.....

Thats a very nice kit , and I like that it goes on the back of the head saving real estate at the rear of the intake for fuel line fittings.
