original battery?

My car was built 13 years ago tomorrow and I'm still running my original battery. Anyone else still on your factory battery?

Nope lol. Storing it in the winter without a trickle charger for a couple years kills them good!

My Nov'2002 Motorcraft battery passed-away last year (06Aug2014). *And ... THANKS! for dredging-up that painful moment. :cry:

My car was built the same day. On it's second battery. OEM went around 10yrs.

Mine was just replaced prior to winter. We were pretty sure it was the original. I have a optima red top in my 70 GS thats 10 years old.

Replaced 2nd battery (Interstate) in 2013

If I have to replace mine again I'll probably go with a Motorcraft (maybe) since I get Interstate batteries at cost price.

Replaced mine last year before Hot Rod Power Tour as a precaution since we were making a long trip. 12 years out of original.

7.5 years for me. Almost 5 on the replacement Motorcraft BXT 65-650 now.

I bought a replacement a few weeks ago for the same reason but haven't put it in because at this point I have to see how far this one will go. This has got to be some kind of record.

Just took the "04 black to the dealer for an oil change and they said my battery failed the charge test. I said, "at this point I want to how far it goes before it dies". I will AAA it to the dealer when it dies for a replacement. But still going strong!!!!!!

I just replaced the original in the 04 Sport a couple months ago.

Looks like there is still the original in my '04. Not the strongest anymore but enough for the daily routine.
