but with lingering issues.

The tires are miss matched and the rear tires are just junk.

One rim in the back is bent.

The AC compressor I put in is bad, pick and pull does not always work out.

The big one is an oil leak. The cover for the timing chains, valve train chains, (?) is leaking oil. I was careful when I installed it, used new gaskets, torqued to the correct specks and in the correct order, ( I think).

My question. Is there a super easy enchanted spell I can use to make the leak go away?

Can I just loosen and re-torque the bolts?

Should I pull the cover and replace the gaskets?

Note the sign in the background of the picture.

Have you pinpointed the highest point the leak is starting from?

Yes, but there is a leak on both sides, one by the power steering pump, and one just above the AC compressor. The bolts at these locations are tight.

Did you use RTV sealant where the manual calls to have it when you installed the timing cover?

When you remove cam covers and timing cover, there should be 6 total blobs of silicone in the appropriate places.

+1 You are suppose to put RTV here:

You will need to take the front cover off again.
Sorry about that. Perhaps install new guides while you have it off?

Yes I did. However, RTD? I am sure I used a sealer but not sure it was RTD.

I probably put it everywhere.

I had the same thought. However I am still out of work and money is very tight. And I can't stand the leak, not to mention I don't want to risk damaging the engine if it were to get worse or someone failed to check the level.

Looks like I will be ordering new gaskets.

Thanks for the diagram.

On a lighter note, it runs beautifully, trans is awesome. The ECU has learned the engine and it is a dream, or beast, to drive.

If you have the original plastic primary chain hydraulic tensioners you'll want to replace them with ratcheting cast iron units while you're in there. Those plastic units are a failure just waiting to happen, and an easy fix with the cover off.

Well, I will check the price of new tensioners but like I have said before money is very very very tight. I will probably be doing this again in a few months. It is what it is.
