OK people, we have had our cars for six months (some of us) and I am curious to see if anyone else has modified their car beyond the chip/gears/shaft.
This car has tons of potential, I wish some of you would start tapping it. If I can answer any questions please don't hesitate to ask. let's make some HP!!!!
Provide any further modifications in this thread.... and no, head light bulbs and a pine tree air freshner do not count!
I love my blown marauder and you need one, you might just not know it yet :)

Well Dude, I KNOW I NEED ONE but this state I live in won't allow it yet.
When I decided to get mine I called KB 'cause with a little more cash I would rather have the car already done but it's not CARB legal.
(silent tears)
But I'm havin' a lot of fun with this stock one so far

Mensrea...I'm taking your comment as a personal insult, how dare you!
Just kidding...I'd love to go further, and I'd do so today. But, as you may expect, it's a matter of finances.
Anyone interested in a super clean '98 Mountainer?
pine tree air freshner optional...

Since when? I know plenty of SS guys out your way that have blown Impalas' and other stuff that passes CA emissions. You need to find the right shop. I can hook you up, just let me know.

Hmm, you mean alternately aspirating, don't ya?? Try not to get too sexual with your car....I've heard of "auto fellatio" but that would take the case...<G>

Had my Marauder since OCT. and I want to do modifications on her but I still haven't been in for my first car service, only have 1300 miles on her. I'm about 2 hrs. away from Dennis Reinhart Automotive and after my first service and talk with the Service Manager about mods. I will have the gears, driveshaft, chip and what ever other mod. I need to have installed to get the Marauder where it should have been from the factory. I'm on a budget and can only do small packages at a time. THANKS.

I'm at 7500 miles. I plan on adding a Vortech supercharger, 4:10 gears (or maybe 3:73's), high stall t/c, chip, and moonroof while it is in for it's 10,000 mile service. Getting all done at a Ford shop. They are actually itching to get their hands my Marauder! I expect that down the road a bit I will go for suspension and brake enhancements.
Bill,
How 'bout a report from you. How is the car as a daily driver? Or is she put away up in the "Great White North"? Only thing we've got to make YOU jealous here (ATL) is it's been mid-60s and sunny here and we've been OUT in our cars...
Did Kenny upgrade your pedal assembly, besides the "dead-pedal"? Any stories you wish to share?

The car is totally driveable, it's not at all challenging to drive daily, but when you crack the throttle watch out. The best thing may be the improvement in handling characteristics, it rides smoother than when it was stock. Oh ya, the Baer brakes make a huge improvement as well.
I have successfully beaten C5s, Camaro SSs, Mustangs, Dinan 5 series, (neck and neck with a Z06) etc... the thing hauls. I don't have my 1/4 mile slip yet, but will post it as soon as I get one.
Right now the car is in storage so yes I wish I was in the south.
I encourage you to look into some further mods, they are out there...

No Sables yet, with all the salt on the road up here the Sable would probably win...
The Z06 and C5 were stock.

As envious as I am of you mensrea, all I can say is, "Nah nah nah nah nah NAH! I'm 'crusin' up 'n down the road' with my Merc, and you're not!" :p
A MM that can make it a battle with a Z06 is impressive as hell! I think most of us here are going to be waiting till our warranties/payments are up before heavy mods come up. Just out of curriosity, how long is everyone's Black Beast their Beast of burden of the check book?
PS: Gotta watch those Sables! That FWD will rip ya outta the hole! ;)

So who's gonna be the first brave MM soul with the juice of the gods (N2O)???????? That's if you want to be the quickest MM, of course
PS. The Impala board is down, so you gotta put up with me for a while!!!
George I had the same thing on my mind about the boards. I'm having forum withdrawl or something. I've been here all day.

Hey! I had mine pinstriped. Even have my name on it. Does that count?:p
I gotta drive it daily, so it will be awhile for the "mods".
When I wanna go more quickly, I jump on my 1100 Suzuki anyway.

Yeah, it's a weakness I guess. I've been over 140 with it. Not bad when you consider I'm 6'4'' and weigh in at 250+.
The wife hates it though.
Hey Mike,
