I have everything to fix it. If I had a car trailer would have to try for it. :shake: bummer

Someone has GOT to pick that up! It's a pure sale so no reserve, and it's run and drive listed. I'd bet the bid doesn't go much more than $2,500. Hell someone could rent a u-haul car trailer and tow it back if they were close enough.

That is 11 of 328 originally owned by Festus.

That baby is so fixable.

I am so tempted, it looks like it is great shape outside the damage. It should be interesting to see how the auction goes.

Always wondered how Copart auctions work. Do you need a dealers or rebuilders license?

Depends what state you're from, according to their faq's online. There's a chart that lists by state requirements to buy a salvage auction. It looks like you can use their proxy to buy, for an extra fee.

I stopped looking b/c you can have a dealer licensed guy bid for you, they get paid (proxy). Can you trust this guy?
Or maybe if you have your own friend with dealer license, he can sign up with Copart.

Ridesafely.com allows outsiders to bid. Usually all the same auctions as CoPart. CoPart brokers require an upfront deposit before you bid and sometimes a non refundable fee even if you don't win the auciton. Ridesafely does charge extra fees too, but nice thing is you use a credit card to put up $400 or 20% of your bid. All money credited or refunded if you don't win the car. And you can set a max bid and not even have to watch the auction. If you win the car your have a few days to wire transfer the balance. They also have a setup with car haulers for a guaranteed (guaranteed more expensive) fee to haul them anywhere in the US. You usually only have about 2 weeks to pick up the cars. You don't even have to be there to have them picked up or shipped. Ridesafely will send you a salvage title (or whatever type the insurance company/DMV sends) and paperwork in your name. Upon repair, you will usually have to get a safety inspection before getting issued a "rebuilt" or similiar title.

But there is no profit in repairing damaged MM's anymore. The value has dropped too much and the prior salvage or salvage title history will stay with the car. But I have done a few because I hate to see fixable cars scrapped.

Note: no big brakes on that car

Sad to see, looks like a fairly easy fix. Just time and money...........
