axle width and pinion offset measurements

Anybody here ever measure their axle width while thinking about a replacement? I'm coming up with 69-1/2" flange-to-flange, with the pinion offset to the right 1/2" (or 35-1/4" from the left flange).

We'll see if I get further than talking. $3500 is an absolute minimum, the cool race car features that are the primary motivators for the upgrade increase the cost further.
