No air from vent, bought a length of vacuum line, connected it to the vacuum block under hood, spliced it into the black line on the back of the EATC, Presto, Air through vents, unplug, no air. Got that figured out.

Now, the problem, How to run the vacuum line through the firewall. I know that some of you have run wiring to power your stereos, where did you access through the body?

Thanks in advance

Wouldn't it make more sense to fix the OEM vacuum line? What you did seems like a good troubleshooting step, not necessarily a repair.

Agreed, but I finally gave up and spliced the line because I couldn't find it or get to it without removing the dash. The glove box is out, as well as the airbag, ductwork and the guage enclosure. Spent hours trying to follow line. It is also possibly behind the motor. I have too much time invested already with this issue.

Look under the wiper cowl towards the center of the firewall.
I bet you find the bad line there.

Fix it properly. That same line also operates the parking brake diaphragm.

Told him that in his other post.

The white vacuum line by the OBDII port is for the automatic emergency brake release.

The black line to the EATC should have vacuum to it when the engine is running. That line should be connected to manifold vacuum. Try looking at the center rear of the engine on the firewall, there should be a vacuum tree with multiple lines connected. Also check the vacuum tank on the left front fender, just behind the windshield washer tank. If you trace those lines you'll probably find the break / leak. I believe the black supply line to the EATC is on the passenger side of the interior and firewall. Shop diagram shows what the lines are... not where they are located in the car.

The '03 & '04 EATC's are interchangeable but you will have the o-ring issue with both.FBM, you forgot to tell me about the wiper cowl, I'll check that in the morning. Vacuum tank worked. Never found the other end of Black line. Removed EGR and the bracket just behind it, to better access the tree. Found A black line, disconnected it, and replaced it with my new piece of vacuum line to get vent to work. The white parking brake line, has nothing attached to it like my 03 does. But that's ok, I don't have a parking brake anyways, it fell apart at MO's when they went to install my 4*10's.

04's still have the white vacuum line but no auto parking brake release. It makes for an easy boost gauge chase through the firewall. :)
