To all MM Bra owners,
Pls no Bra jokes. This is serious business to those of us who like to protect our MMs.
1. I already bought my Genuine FLM Bra, but was unable to figure our the lower (LOWEST points) front fender attachment. Can anyone provide clarification for how it gets attached? I tried just before heading to Philly last month for Ray's car show, but couldn't quite get the sides attached.
2. Second point: I had the dreaded FLAPPING from the hood edge cover (about 4 inch across the front of the hood) which is included with the factory bra. Is there any way to reduce/eliminate this? I even tried attchment at a further point, not described in the Ford instructions but to no avail -- still flapped above 60 mph.
Will be traveling to Michigan from Maryland in mid-June and sure would like some pointers.
Thank in advance for the help.

Mine's a flapper too. The straps are too gimpy. Try using safety pins to snug them up are tight as they'll go.

Thanks Logan, BCKNBLK,
Glad  to know that mine is the same as others for theHood Piece.
Now I need the `just in front of the front wheels` installation details if anyone will assist.

I had the same problem. Also, mine scratched the top of the grill surround. After using it on one trip, I decided to take my chances by removing the bra. NOw, I clean the car every evening of a long trip. I know I will need to do paint work more frequently than I like, but, so be it.

Not sure how to describe it, but the bottom one just in front of the wheel just kina hangs and holds when you pull it tight across the fender. The other clips along the wheel well just clip in. I start on one side at the fender, then get it in place without strapping or connecting across the front, then do the other fender. After that, connect all hooks and straps and push in the rubber pieces. Also have to take off the plastic shield under the hood to get those straps hooked. Hope that helps. I also use a soft screen from the hardware store for the grill.

Thank you BCKNBLK,
I'll try "baking" the bra in the sun and then installing, wheels first BEFORE doing any front grill & bumper clips install, etc. :)

What is the soft screen made of, does it have a brand name of any kind? I was thinking about getting one for my car with the Ciacadis (sp?) coming out this year and the factory bra does not come with a screen for the grill.
Thanks.

Don't know, my brother gave it to me. He got a roll of it at Lowes screen door section.

To help reduce the flapping, try twisting the tie loops about 5 or 6 times to make them pull tighter . Also, the bottom clips attach to the plastic air damn (under vehicle) which diverts air to radiator.. Hope this helps......

Thanks for the grill tip. But from the looks of yours, I'm going to make two so I can swap out on the long trips. I don't really know what the hood piece does. I only used it once. I use the bra to protect mainly from bug juice and on my trip to Indy a few weeks ago I had a gadzillion. Used a broom to sweep them off the bra then swept them out the door. Ants had a feast that night. Best $100 mod for the MM.

Try this...
Any hardware store should sell a thin hard wire used for bailing or tying up just about anything you want to secure.
The name of the wire escapes me right now, CRS is catching up with me too...
You can double the wire, make it the width of the hood, and then insert it inside one end
of the hood bra portion and just pass it through to the other side.
This should stiffen the bra just enough to keep it from flapping, and it will also allow you
to MOULD the bra to sit a liitle more snugly to the hood.
There is also a new product on the market.
Kinda like a plastic material that you can apply to the hood and bumper to protect it from stones.
It will shape to any car with the use of a hair dryer.
If I see it again, I'll post where you can get it from.
It sticks to your car just like the window clingies do.

I used black document clips, you should be able to see them in the picture.

Yep I see them now and you say it is a soft material and it doesn't scratch the paint?

I did not like the bra so I do not use one anymore. The screen is interesting. What do you thiink of using it across the front os the car? I would expect it to scratch. What do you think?

The screen doesn't stop everything. I don't think it would work across the front.
