As you may or may not know, or care that my Marauder was sold this week and was picked up by her new caretaker today.

It's bittersweet but it was time, for multiple reasons, to move forward.

I first saw the Marauder on the Hot Rod Power Tour in 2002 and wanted one, having a Police Interceptor at the time.

I bought my Marauder from HwyCruiser on here. It was perfect, with the right mods and a meticulous owner. I called her Black Sunshine.

For the next 7 years, I was able to cruise, show, and modify her to my liking. Best of all wer the friendships that began and grew because of this car. I consider many in the Marauder community good friends and Kelly and I look forward to the Louisville meet every year. It's like a large family reunion. That said, we will still be "crashing" the Marauder meets, albeit in a daily driver.

So, congrats to the new owner. She went to a good home.

And, I'll be sticking around because this place is like a home.

Thanks.

Damn Steve ... sorry to hear this. I know how much you took care of "Black Sunshine". Hope to see you at some of the MM events .... you have been a great supporter here for years. :bows:

Congrats to the new owner of this car ..... it is one of the best examples of Marauderhood around.

The way you took care of all your cars, Steve, I'm sure she went to a good home...hopefully her new owner will become a member here.

The yellow covers will always dictate it as "Steve's car".

I believe cpe6 said he bought it.
Steve - you did a fine job preserving and improving that car, I hope it continues to be loved, and that your future brings more sunshine, of any color.
cheers

We do care, Steve. Everyone knows how much your Marauder ment to you. Eric and I won't forget how you took the time to show it to us in detail, way back at MV in Indy. That was memorable. BTW I delivered the news to my boss that your car was sold. I told him he missed out on one of the best he'll ever have the opportunity to acquire...and I ment it. All the best to you!

Well Black Sunshine is now in the hands of CPE6, the yellow valve covers will remain as quoted "Its Steves Car". I have met some interesting members here and its a great community of owners, past owners, and future owners. I have met a few members in person and all have been great, one member Marty whom I am dying to meet but business affords me little free time, Marty has been great help in assisting me and definitely will be doing more business with him in the future, since I have a good liasion to take care of financial matters when I am away.

Hey Steve I remember way back when you rode with me in my Marauder at the KY meet before you had yours remember that. Sorry you had to sell it but life changes and you have to change with it. I know it had to be a decision not easily reached.

Steve, you sold the car buddy. You got close to what its worth ;). And someone else in this community and the rest of us will continue to enjoy it. Win, Win, Win........................ Let us know what the next project is........ no matter how soon or how far down the line it is.

Thanks for the kind words and the memories.

The comments on here only back up my statements on the family mentality of this forum.

For now, I am taking a break from the "scene" with the exception of doing a few little mods to the DD.

Eventually, I'd like to get a '50s or '60s cruiser but I know they are big bucks.

Also love the second-gen CTS-Vs. They are also big bucks.

Who knows what I'll get down the road.

I'll see you guys at the next Louisville meet for sure and I'll still be lurking on here.

Plus, I've still got parts to sell and a ton of Marauder collectables to list. ;)
