So replaced dead fuel pump last year with OEM. Did not appear to have this problem prior...when hard on the throttle in sharp turns (either direction) the engine will bog out and nearly die. Straight line the car can stay WOT no problems.
Ideas?
Many thanks, Dave

Check the wiring harness behind the drives side cam cover. It's been known to chafe there.

How much do you weigh? :P

Hit the inertia fuel shutoff switch in the trunk with a hammar?

Very low miles on this car...will check inertia switch. It does seem to act up more when tank is below 1/3 full...are there baffles in the tank that could be messed up or perhaps the sump? It threw P0190 code twice now but fps is fine I believe.

Yes, there are some baffles around where the fuel pump sits. It shouldn't cause any issues unless you're below 1/4 tank though. I wonder if your fuel float is off and you're really running with a lower level than you think.

Fuel indication is correct. Perhaps there is a problem with the way the pump lifts from the tank? I will run FP gauges on it at various fuel levels and post. Hate to remove the whole pump assy again for no reason...

My LSC does this when @ 1/4 a tank and turning left giving it moderate gas...my mech said there were prolly some damage in the tank from age allowing plastic to move around...or something like that...been like that for many years...I just don't let it get @1/4 tank anymore...

It's good practice to not let the car get below 1/4 tank anyway. Fuel cools the pump and when it gets close to empty, the pump can become uncovered...

Yes I have always tried to stay above 1/3 tank. Will keep an eye on things it seems to be behaving...
Thanks!
