I see variable orifices available for the Panther A/C systems. Rock Auto has them for both hot climates, +105F and less than 105F models. Well, here in Houston it does get there often in summer time. Has anyone tried any of these yet?

I'm considering giving one of these a chance.

Looks like they help with idle speed cooling when it's quite hot outside. http://www.imcool.com/articles/aircondition/VOV2.php

I bought both, and aside from the color, see no real difference.
Size of the screen mesh may be slightly different? Maybe +105 has a higher melting point material?
If you are +105 often, I'd put that in, as I'm sure it will still function fine in lower temps.
