Car not starting

I was at the dentist office and was about ready to leave but I turn the key and nothing. Absolutely nothing. So I kept trying. Eventually I would see electrical things like the clock and dash lights come on. Then I could hear the door's lock for some reason. Then suddenly the car started right up and I was able to drive home.

Battery is relatively new (the upgraded Motorcraft one). I'll check the terminals on the battery, cable and relay. But could it also be the ignition switch?

Went back out there and the car started right up. The terminals do look dirty so I'll try cleaning them and then hopefully that fixes it.

yep, i would say that is a bad connection. Had the same problem before.

Clean all the connections, even the grounds.
