For anybody that has used these tires before, do you have anything to say about them? I found a pair of 285/45R18 for CHEAP. I don't have a ton of money to spend on tires, so I'm trying to wrangle up as much junk as I can for as cheap as I can. And 295/45R18 Nittos aren't that great for the budget minded kid at $200 per tire!

when I put Mustang wheels on my old 03 Crown Vic. They came with a lightly used set of Pirelli P-zero Neros. I can only assume the tires you mention are probably the newer version of those.
The P-zero neros were awful, Terrible rain traction, wasn't even going to try running them in the snow. I couldn't get them off my car fast enough.
I suppose they may have made alot of improvements to the tires you mention, but I also have not heard many good things about Pirelli tires in general

My 2011 mustang 5.0 came with perelli 245/40/19 tires
I hated them, traction was horrible, and I almost wrecked the car on the highway because the tires broke loose at 65
I had sumitommo tires and they were much better, have u priced them at American muscle?

I have the Asymetricos on my Marquis w/18" Mustang wheels.
I do not recommend them. Loud as hell, no traction, car handles poorly.

Shoot! If I'm remembering right, you were running a 285/45 right Adam?

I checked out American Muscle and they only offer stock Mustang sizes. So they have the 285/40 that came on the GT500, but that profile is pretty low for a big car.
My cousin found me an even better deal on the Nittos, so I'll stick to those. If the car can't handle or get traction, it's useless!!

I would recommend the Pirelli Scorpion M/S tires if you run the MM in the snow. We have a set on 16" wheels that we used to use before we retired the MM from DD.
Read the reviews on Tirerack and Discounttiredirect for feedback for the Asimmetrico's.

I run the big 285/50 on the Marauder, but those are Nitto 404s which I love.

The MOTIVOS are a fair price for a great tire.

Had P Zeros on 1st KB MM , Wear pattern was horrible & traction was nothing great. Also came stock on My Coyote (but a all season) to say the least I was glad when time to replace them. Just my opinion & experience.

The 285 or 295 is the width. The second number is the section height as a percentage of the width. IE 245/50 would be a section height of 122.5

I'm shocked to see negative opinions about the Pirellis. I have the P Zero Neros that came on the 18" Mustang GT wheels (factory Shelby take offs) that I've put 40,000 on so far and the wear pattern has been perfect. They're quiet, had much better traction than the Michelins I replaced, and best of all they gave a comfortable ride with reasonable tire pressure.
Mine are actually going to be due to replace at some point in the near future and I HIGHLY regret I may not be able to replace these with the exact same tires again.
Maybe I've just always used really cheap tires on all the cars I've owned in the past. heh
How is the ride quality and sound with the Nittos many seem to love?
My Pirelli 285/50R18s have worn very well, 40k miles already and still going strong, I recently moved them to my 04. I should've done it long ago, so the traction control would kick in. I had to drive very carefully in rain, something that I didn't do a lot in my 03, but when traveling you have no choice. On my way to MV9, accelerating out of a PA rest area, and the back end started coming around was my wake up call. I purposely didn't do any burnouts with them, but I could bark the tires hitting second too easily. (enjoyed it, but the hard rubber helped) Got a set of Nittos waiting to be installed on the 03 before MV14.

I have the P Zero Nero on my Mustang came with the 19" Brembo Wheels. I love them but again I live in Cali and get something like 13" of rain annually and have a 2500 burb for snow. For a summer tire their great get good treadware quiet, traction and handles good.
