Hello all,
I'm just curious if anybody else's inside door paint is wearing away at the A-pillar? I noticed some rust appearing on the rubber seal at the driver's side A-pillar, and to my shock the paint had worn all the way through to the metal! Check the passenger side and it too was starting to wear through. I hit it with some rattle can black to stop it for now.
For fun I checked the doors on my '08 CVPI and sure enough those are wearing through too. I wonder if there's a way to adjust the doors slightly so it doesn't fit so tight?

Yes Mine is doing the same thing. Also around my gas lid. Roof, hood, and trunk as well. I need a paint job badly.

Mine is that way too. I do not think that there is anyway to adjust the door so that isn't a possibility and still have a good seal. The problem is that the two pieces slide against each other when closing. One thing I have thought of is to use some of the "clear bra" material on the area of the door where that happens. Yes it will still wear away but it should take quite a while for that to happen and once it gets close to wearing through remove it and replace it with another piece.

maybe buy some headlight film and cut to size, also might try keeping silicon spray lubed on the rubber to help "slide" more than rub???

Thanks for the replies, all. At least I'm not the only one this is happening to. I figure that the respray I did will hold for now and I'll just keep an eye on it.

Please post pics of wear spots so we can take preventative measures.
Thanks!
