overhead console fitment

Hello . new to the site .I have a 04 MM red , with 20k miles , one owner. SSW complete exhaust , and KN intake . runs great . does any one know if a 03 long overhead console can replace the short one that is now on this vehicle . not sure what mounting plate is under the headliner . not looking forward to dropping the headliner to check . thanks Craig.

Needs the longer mounting plate and yes, have to remove headliner to do..mounting plate is actually glued to roof from what I hear.
