Tried something new last weekend, ever since I had the car I wanted to put some memorabilia up in my garage such as banners and emblems but that stuff is difficult and expensive to get from across the pond so I decided to make it myself.

I used a beamer to project the Mercury waterfall emblem, the Marauder gods head and the rear bumper script onto my garage wall and then painted it all in grey. Originally I wanted to paint it black but I would never have been be able to cover it over again should I decide I don't like it anymore. It's nowhere near perfect and I will try to improve it a bit more but I think it turned out alright if you don't look closely. Above the two logos you can see the silhuette of a Ford emblem which I had planned to paint as well but am not so sure about it anymore.

That looks awesome...

For the record, it's not a waterfall...it's a clam rake.

Thanks, it's not the first time I have tried this. On the back wall of my garage I have painted a huge map of Europe. My second big hobby is to collect license plates so there is one plate to represent each country. You can see it in the back of this picture.

That's kinda cool. My walls are covers in shelves and cabinets...

I don't think one could make money with that, I mean it's simple enough to do it yourself.

European size garages are too small to put shelves and cabinets up otherwise I couldn't fit 2 cars in it.

MGD....What did you use for your overlay to project onto the wall? I would like to do that myself.

It's really easy to do it yourself, firstly you need to find a high res picture of the logos, then you use a projector to put the image on the wall. Now comes the hardest part, tracing the outline of the image on the wall with a pencil, this can be quite tricky as you always end up standing in the projectos light and thus put your shadow over the image. After that you have the thin pencil outlines of the logos on your wall and you can start to paint them.
