The usb dongle is the license. As long as you have that, you should be all set.

Edit: plus an SCT tuner and your PCM code must be BMD0, like I have.

When i got mine, there was a bunch of paperwork you had to go thru the first time the software and dongle were used and during update. After that sky's the limit.

You just download the software from SCT. When you open it, it checks the dongle for licensing. No dongle, no open. It must be plugged into the USB every time you open it. Simple as that.

Paperwork etc. is all done. Transfer is not an issue whatsoever.

If the dongle is ever lost or damaged I can get a replacement for $50 or a $100.

If I sold it to you and you damaged or lost it could you get it replaced from sct if it were in my name.

Not trying to be a party pooper, just want a buyer to do their research on this.

Any 03 code works on any 03 car
You can use an 03 code on an 04 if you change 2 values.

Misunderstanding on both parties. I thought he was selling it to the specific year/code. As far as a MTF, if you have a wideband you do not need a Dyno tuner to give you a tune. Your best tunes will come from your own hard work.

I was recommended to buy it by people on this forum. It never occurred to me nor was it mentioned to me that the tuner that was also recommended on here wouldn't give me the file I needed and PAID FOR.

Not as careless as your brackets that you had to send a 1/8" spacer with, had to then redesign due to that and other fitment issues, and never bothered to tell people that the coating you put on it would cause the alternator to not GROUND properly.

I never told you to go to another shop for a tune. I told you to come to my shop for a tune. And I never told you to buy that package. In fact I personally recommend that very few people buy that package.

But I'm reasonably sure you never paid for the tune Tim didn't give you.

You were doing no one a favor but yourself. THEN after I agreed to buy your product you asked if I wanted the hardware package. (Which was already included). I said no, don't need it, I already bought the bolts. Then I thought about it and changed my mind and asked you to send it, I would pay the extra shipping. Like a world class jerkoff, you became enraged and told me to Eat a Dick. Classy.

You sent out untested and perfected brackets. You even said later in a different thread that the design (you sold me) was never even installed and tested on a car yet!!! FAIL

Washer snapped on pulley and caused undue hardship to figure out where the noise was coming from. Probably due to wobble. Just reported the facts. I see that Metco now includes a centering ring on their pulleys. Hmm...sounds like I possibly helped a lot of people avoid the same heartache I suffered by reporting the issue.

Myself and plenty of other people have had MAJOR problems with the tuner. I paid him $1750. $300 for an alternator alone (that wasn't broken) plus labor to install it, because I bought brackets that don't ground without a mention of it by the manufacturer, YOU. He grounds it with a 14 gauge wire to my battery, zip ties it to my MAF wiring and it melts everything and nearly catches my car on fire. One of many mistakes he made. Get it now?

I loved my custom hood, never said it sucked and took 100% responsibility for the repair failure. I see you are silent on the success I had with the second hood. Typical.

As far as paying for the tune, from what I understand now, the majority of tuners will give you the MTF file after they do a dyno tune for you if you ask for it. But not Barth.

Most tuners I know will not give you the mtf file. They may give you SCT's baseline mtf file but not one that they created/perfected. That is their intellectual property and stock in trade. I may see this differently than you because I am on the other side of the looking glass.

You could tune your car yourself starting with the baseline mtf file that SCT provides with the PRP. I wouldn't recommend it, but you could.

negative- i truly felt bad about you fighting with the transmission issue. ask any other member who bought out of the first run if they got a discount. also, ask the other guy (terry) if he got an email about me asking if it was an issue if i made them. i did feel i followed the proper channel and i can only make one person happy.

negative, you said you didn't need the hardware so i asked to confirm i wasn't shipping it. after i shipped the brackets you then sent a pm saying yes you wanted them. then, when i sent the spacer you said you didn't need the longer stud. after i mailed the 1/8" spacer you pm'd and said hey can you send the stud too. that's when i said your killing me. you went into a tissy fit. i then offered you $50 over what you paid to send them back. you said you had never been so insulted in your life and that's when i offered the $100 or ***

brackets were made off a sample trilogy set. there was a 1/8" spacer needed on the first run. the problem was caught on my end and i notified all buyers and sent out the fix, you were the only one who cried out of twelve.
