anyone know if there is a quality source for 390/429 mains bearings, half w/o the oil groove??

That would be 390/428....Bearings should be easy to find. Jegs has them. Depends if you want standard or undersized.

great info on their 4 series, thnx Bob.

Still looking for a set that has 5 shells w/o oil groove.

I see Sealed Power makes a 3/4 groove, but not in 020 !!! Oh well. Use my Clevite full groove.

Yes sir,clevite in a 429 is the way to go
