The noise seems to come more so from the passenger side, but after further investigation it seems to be almost definitely coming from the rack and pinion... Can anyone confirm what this noise is? I want to get this taken care of ASAP so I will be ready in time for Marauderville...!

Ball joints?

No, u-joints.
They are located on the steering shaft between the rack and the brake booster.
Had same problem, multiple sources, tie rod ends, ball joints, have to get under car and move things around.
May need helper to turn steering wheel while you find noise source(s)

Take a 3 foot piece of heater hose and place one end against your ear and the move the other around next to the ball joints and tie rod ends and stabilizer bar links. You'll pin point the noise exactly and know what to fix. Not that common for that noise to be coming out of the rack, just the steering shaft u-joints or the stuff mentioned above.

Just want to mention it makes a lot of sense to replace components in sets. Alignment and labor (even your own!) cost money, and if one part is worn they all are.
Never just change one tie rod, replace them all. Unless the previous owner gifted you with a rebuilt front end it is a safe bet that most of it needs replacing. Old cars and all that. ;)
