Sup guys. ..

Well I my rear end is on the ground . The air suspension light has been randomly illuminating for the past month or so . But the air bags never deflated until yesterday . So i looked up some info on here yesterday . I got the body on jack stands and checked the ride height sensor. It was still together but it was kinda rusted , so I took it apart and cleaned it up. The arm of the sensor had free play , so I assume that's a good thing.

I installed a different compressor and still nothing . I jumped both compressors with 12 volts and they both fired up. So I left one jumped thinking it would air up the Air Bags but it's didn't.

When I cycle the ignition the air suspension light quickly goes on and off , sometimes it'll stay off but no air compressor action but I do hear I'm guessing the relays or solenoids click .
What do you guys think the issue is ?
Should I run some more test can I jump the ride height sensor some how ? I can't afford to waste money on parts that are good.

Thanks in advance.

when you jacked up the car, did you turn the switch off in the trunk for the air suspension?

Did you check the fuse?

When I jacked the car up I disconnected the battery and turned the switch off. Zack I checked the fuses and they were good , I even switched them around.

I used a compressor from a 95 towncar and it was exactly the same , but the ride height sensor is different. Also when I hooked both compressors up to 12 volts , I could only feel a small amount of air coming out but it should still kick on.

The ride height doesn't change immediately. There is a procedure that the computer goes through before activating the compressor or dumping air out of the system.

For instance, I notice mine comes on after the car sits for a while (some air bleeds out), I start the car run it for awhile, turn the ignition off, close the door and the compressor activates.

Yeah I gave it time to cycle and nothing happened.

Did you electrically test the ride height sensor?
Sounds like it is bad.
I believe it works much like a potentiometer....
