My CD changer would only work the 1st disc, now it doesn't work any. Disc error or something like that comes up. Magazine is fine. Could the box simply be dirty or is it time for replace it? All I have done is blown on it like a super NES... used to do the trick.
Couldn't find any radios in yards with the in dash CD player, so this is my plan B.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks!!!

You can try a cleaning CD (http://www.walmart.com/ip/10135700?reviews_limit=7&action=product_interest&action_type=title&placement_id=irs_top&strategy=PWVUB&visitor_id=106969891966&category=0%3A4171%3A1062384%3A 105245%3A37159&client_guid=100a2cc8-d61a-4e55-9add-cf25f3c73211&config_id=2&parent_item_id=15120287&guid=2cd85e97-9e18-4100-af7d-450fd59d3171&bucket_id=irsbucketdefault&findingMethod=p13n?reviews_lim it=7&).

Step one: load magazine and drive car ready for road trip.
Step two: get halfway through a favorite track on disc 1 - when it starts skipping terribly
Step three: pull over frustrated and go to trunk; yanking out magazine and flinging it to side of the road in one smooth curse happy motion
Step four: drive on in silence miles down the road; making a list of CDs to re-buy
Step five: buy an aftermarket stereo that doesn't suck
Ok; so that didn't fix the CD changer; but explains what has happened to my current and previous Marauder and why they no longer have magazines...plus shows my way too short fuse.
P.S. Cleaning CD didn't work. Neither did the NES trick.

I had the same/similar problem with my 6-CD changer back in 2004. I kept getting the "CDDJ Error" on Disc #1. Seems the problem may be related to Homemade/Burned Discs. My solution was to reshuffle the discs so that the homemade CD was not in slot number one. The issue has not reoccurred since that time. Just for kicks, try a "store bought" disc and see if it plays OK in slot number 1. Maybe this is some kind of "CD Piracy" protection feature that is coded on some songs or some discs that prevents them from playing unless they are from the original source. :dunno:

I just removed the six CD's I loaded back in '04 and listened to for a week. Not kidding. So I really can't help here. [emoji6]
