Good info thanks! I had been seeing reference to 300A and 300B but had no idea what that meant.
I also had no idea they have stall converters, I would never had guessed by driving it, I have had other cars with stalls but they were obvious when driving, but they were also 3000 usually.
Is there a thread that outlines the differences between the Marauder and the standard Grand Marquis?
Thanks for the info!

The major differences is the motor of course, interior in terms of trim and leather. The rear axle ratio of 3.55 and slightly different suspension in terms of stiffness, height etc. larger rear sway bar, headlight and corner and rear back up light tinting, and bumper covers which are Marauder specific and are very hard to find used so don't mess yours up. Frame is the same, doors, hood, trunk..basically front end is Marquis 2003-2005 and rear is crown vic in terms of grille, header panel, lights, taillights. Gauge cluster is diff but can used in a CV or Marquis

Only 300A had the clock in the dash trim piece but I always thought 300A didn't have the traction control button. This one has both which I found unusual. Maybe He added that trim piece on the left side.

My '04 has the clock in the dash (also had clock in the radio), auto parking brake release, remote fuel door release, and a full size spare.
Of course........................ ...... I added them :D
Looking to add the front seat map pockets.

In the US '03 MM's came as either 300A or B depending on the date when Mercury started to add TC and started decontented the A's to pay for TC in the B's.
All '04's are 300A's.
I would have figured Canadian MM's to be 300B's because of the TC.
There were a few MM's built in and around the switch over that got a hodge podge of both A and B parts.

That's weird. I think the clock in the dash looks terrible. Map pockets are cool but not enough to make Me add them. The gas door switch release was a nice feature, they should have kept that on the '04's.

My 300eh has TC and clock in the dash (plus mini-spare, remote fuel door, map pockets & auto p-brake release).
The 300a vs. 300b vs. 300eh designation is fun, but ultimately meaningless, imho.

The Month & Year of your build are listed on the driver's door sticker. To get the specific day and sequence number, you will have to shell out the $45.00 to get the certificate with the official FPG information. You might be able to get selected info for Free when calling the number listed above; but I think that it depends on who is working the phones that day. There is a "Sticky" in the Marauder Community Forum on the 300A vs. 300B. This distinction only applies to the 2003 MM. Generally, if your car was built in September 2002 or earlier, it is a 300A. Easiest way to tell is using the gas filler flap ... If it has a Finger Notch, then it is a 300B. No notch is 300A.

Marauders are a 4V engine and need a little rpm to get into their best power band. The factory transmission tune is garbage, you should get a tune from a vendor here, MO's Speed shop which rectifys the hunting in and out of 4th gear.

If that is the amount made for Canada I wonder how many are left on the road.
