Most recently vintage GM or CV rears will work.
What is wrong with yours?

Just replace the clutches, gears, bearings and seals. Good time to change to 4.10's. Just need to really clean it thoroughly.

How hard are the gears to change? Last time I tried them in my 1990 Stang I got them all out of whack and they made horrible whine, had to tow car to shop and have them readjusted, ended up costing me more than if I would have taken to a shop in the first place.

Not a do it yourself job. Not a bolt on. Needs indicator reading .001 of an inch to get backlash correct

That's why you get a professional to do jobs you have no idea how to do correctly. You need to know your limitations.

Oh well excuse me, but even the professionals had to learn somehow. The key is knowing when to throw in the towel and ask for help, if I would have followed your advice when I was 8 I never would have rebuilt my first bike, I would have hired a bicycle shop to do it, then I would have never learned to fix my own cars, I would have taken it to a mechanic, then I would have never went to college to become an aircraft mechanic and I wouldn't be fixing jets for a living would I? How would you ever know what your capable of if you never try? To me the person that never pushes themselves to try is more of a failure than the person that try's and fails.
